Leadership Apprenticeships Brief Overview for Practice Managers
SWL Training Hub is aiming to promote a greater understanding of training opportunities available to staff working in primary care. Included in training opportunities are apprenticeships, which are work-based training programmes; to undertake an apprenticeship there are a number of requirements and more detailed information can be found using the links below.
Apprenticeships can be studied at different levels, up to and including a Level 7 Masters and Practice Mangers are encouraged to explore the range of opportunities available to them and their staff. Apprenticeships can be funded via the Apprenticeship Levy and, as such, there would be no charge to the employer or employee; however, apprentices are expected to be supported in their studies and as a minimum it is usually anticipated to be in the region 20% of the working week. Information regarding time commitment and length of courses is detailed on the related websites and the list below (with links) highlights a few leadership courses that may be of interest for staff in supervisory or leadership roles.
