About the event

This half-day session will explain the role of the medical   chaperone and the skills needed to carry out the role effectively to protect   both the clinician and the patient. The course will include:

• What is a chaperone?

• Historical context

• Who can be a chaperone?

• Intimate examinations

• The skills of a chaperone

• Potential difficulties

• The dos and don'ts of chaperoning

• Record keeping

• Raising concerns

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED

Terms and Conditions

All workshops are free of charge for the general practice staff of Croydon.

If a delegate attends a training course without a confirmed booking then the Practice may be liable for a charge of £30 per non booked attendee or the attendee may be turned away.

Delegate cancellations are accepted via emailing elisabetta.vescio@nhs.net up to 1 working day before the start of the event. Cancellations after this date are liable for the full standard fee of £50.

We reserve the right to charge for non-attendance on training   courses without cancellation. A £50 non-attendance fee will be charged to the   practice if a delegate fails to attend the course to cover course costs. If   fee is not paid within 30 days the practice will not be able to access any   training until it is paid.
