About the event

This session aims to raise awareness among primary care staff about the importance of speaking up and will include an overview of expectations and implementation of the national Freedom to Speak Up policy and the Freedom to Speak Up Guardian role. It will cover successes and challenges to help inform a broader discussion about barriers, learning, and required improvements.

This session will cover:

  • The national Freedom to Speak Up policy and its significance in fostering an open and learning culture.

  • Clarifying speak up routes, responses and protections.

  • Explaining the roles and responsibilities of FTSU Guardians.

  • Recognising concerns: identifying and addressing workplace issues.
